Downtown Clayton MRA Plan Public Meeting – January 21

Join us on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM to learn about the Downtown Clayton Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) Plan and provide feedback. The meeting will be hosted by the Town of Clayton and the Clayton Union County Economic Development Partnership at the Clayton Civic Center, 124 N. Front Street.

The Downtown MRA District is bounded by Poplar Street to the north, Maple Street to the south, 4th Street to the east, and Front Street to the west. The area was designated by the Clayton Board of Trustees as a Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) in February 2023.

The MRA Plan focuses on strategies to revitalize and enhance the business district to ensure Downtown Clayton remains vibrant and the center of economic activity for the community. The Town’s consultant, Consensus Planning, will be presenting the draft MRA Plan and facilitating the discussion with the participants.
